Is a Botox Membership Worth It? What I Tell My Patients

Is a Botox Membership Worth It? What I Tell My Patients

Every month, someone sits across from me and asks a version of the same question: "I’ve been going to Peachy  should I switch to a membership? Is it even worth it?"

I love this question. It means my patients are paying attention, doing the math, and thinking long-term about their results which is exactly the mindset that leads to beautiful, natural outcomes over time. So let me give you the honest answer I give in my treatment room.

First: Why Botox Works Better on a Schedule

Before we talk about pricing models, I want to start with the clinical truth that shapes everything else.

Botox and Dysport work by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for expression lines. The moment you stop treating consistently, on schedule those muscles gradually regain their full strength. Over time, the lines deepen again. The patients who maintain the most natural-looking, refreshed results are almost always the ones who treat every 3 to 4 months without letting too much time lapse between sessions.

This is why a membership structure exists at all. It’s not a gimmick. It’s an alignment of clinical best practice with financial planning. If you’re going to do this properly and you want lasting, graceful results  you’re going to be coming in regularly. Might as well plan for it.

What a Botox Membership Actually Means

A Botox membership is a prepaid unit bundle: you purchase a set number of units upfront at a discounted per-unit rate, then draw from that balance across your sessions throughout the year.

The advantages are straightforward:

  • Lower per-unit cost than pay-as-you-go pricing
  • No sticker shock at checkout — it’s already paid
  • Psychological commitment that keeps you on schedule (this matters more than people think)
  • Flexibility to use units across different areas as your needs evolve

The tradeoff is that you’re committing to a volume of treatment upfront. If your life changes, if you decide you want to take a break, you’ve already spent that money. So the question of whether a membership is “worth it” is really a question of whether you are a consistent Botox patient  or whether you’re testing the waters.

The Botox Club at Dr. Cris Studio

At Dr. Cris Studio, I offer two membership tiers:

The 200 Club — $1,900 for 200 units ($9.50/unit)
This is designed for patients who focus on the classic upper-face areas: forehead, glabella (between the brows), and crow’s feet. Standard treatment for these areas typically runs 30–60 units per session, meaning 200 units covers three to five full sessions. A $100 specialty-area fee applies for neck, underarms, trapezius, and TMJ/masseter areas.

The 300 Club — $2,600 for 300 units (~$8.67/unit)
This is my recommendation for patients who treat multiple zones per visit or who incorporate specialty areas like the masseter (jaw slimming) or trapezius (neck and shoulder tension). At $8.67 per unit, every treatment area is included  no specialty-area surcharges.

Compare that to the typical pay-as-you-go rate at an injector of my experience level in Midtown Manhattan, which usually runs $12–$16 per unit. The math is real. On a 50-unit session at $13/unit, you’d spend $650 out of pocket  the same session draws only $475 from a 300 Club balance.

What I value most: you see me, every time. One injector, one relationship, one ongoing understanding of your face, your goals, and how your muscles respond. Consistency with your provider isn’t just convenient  it produces demonstrably better results.

How It Compares to Peachy

Peachy has done something clever: they’ve built a consumer-friendly, accessible brand around botox memberships in NYC. They’re transparent about pricing, their studios are well-designed, and for someone starting out, the lower entry point is appealing.

Here’s what I’ve heard from patients who’ve come to me from Peachy  and I want to be fair, because I’ve never treated anyone at Peachy, and I’m only reporting what my patients tell me:

What they liked: The pricing felt accessible. The studios were easy to book. The experience was streamlined.

What they noticed: Peachy frequently uses Jeuveau (a neuromodulator brand) rather than Botox or Dysport. Some patients find Jeuveau metabolizes slightly faster for them, meaning they return to full muscle movement in 3–3.5 months rather than 4. Over the course of a year, that’s potentially four treatments instead of three  which changes the math.

The other thing patients mention is injector continuity. Peachy and similar high-volume studios often rotate their injector staff. When you’re investing in a long-term aesthetic relationship when the goal is a face that looks naturally, quietly like a better version of itself  the relationship with the person treating you matters enormously. I know my patients’ faces. I know that Sarah needs a lighter hand on her frontalis to preserve her natural brow movement. I know that Marcus’s masseter responds better at 25 units per side than 20. You don’t build that knowledge on first meetings.

This isn’t disparagement  it’s a difference in model. Both approaches can produce good results. The question is what you want from the experience.

Who the Botox Club Is Right For

I recommend exploring a membership if you:

  • Have been doing Botox or Dysport for at least one full year and know you’ll continue
  • Treat 2+ zones per session (brow, forehead, crow’s feet  or specialty areas)
  • Want to treat every 3–4 months on a predictable schedule
  • Value seeing the same injector, every visit
  • Want the math to work in your favor without thinking about it at checkout

I’d suggest pay-as-you-go if you’re still experimenting  new to injectables, still figuring out your zones and frequency, or genuinely uncertain whether you’ll maintain a regular cadence.

A Word on “Baby Botox” and Preventative Treatments

I see a lot of patients in their late twenties and early thirties who are starting preventative Botox  smaller doses, targeted to the zones where their lines are just beginning to set. For these patients, the 200 Club can be a smart long-term play. Preventative doses are lighter (15–30 units per session), which means 200 units stretches even further.

The Botox Club isn’t a one-size-fits-all offer. It’s worth having a conversation about your specific usage before committing. I always do a consultation before recommending any membership tier  the goal is to make sure it genuinely serves you, not just the math on paper.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do unused units roll over?
Yes. Unused units in your Botox Club balance remain available for your next session. They don’t expire on a calendar date, but the balance is intended for use within a reasonable treatment cycle (typically 12 months). I’ll always discuss this with you clearly before you commit.

Can I use my Botox Club units for lip or face fillers?
No. The Botox Club covers neurotoxin units (Botox, Dysport, or equivalent). Dermal filler treatments are separate and priced differently based on product and volume needed.

What if I need more units than I purchased?
You can add additional units at the member rate during your session. I’ll always tell you upfront if I recommend going beyond what your balance covers.

Is there a contract or cancellation policy?
The Botox Club is a prepaid balance  not a subscription or contract. Once purchased, the balance is non-refundable, but there’s no recurring charge. You use what you’ve paid for, on your schedule.

How does it work if I want to add specialty areas like jaw or neck?
Under the 200 Club, specialty areas (masseter, trapezius, underarms, neck) carry a $100 per-session surcharge. Under the 300 Club, all areas are covered within your unit balance with no surcharge.

Is a Botox membership worth it compared to just paying per session?
If you treat 3 or more times per year across multiple zones, the per-unit savings almost always make the math work in your favor. A patient using 50 units per session, three times a year, saves between $300–$700 annually compared to pay-as-you-go rates  depending on the tier.
