Brightening pads

Brightening Boost Exfoliator Pads are pre-soaked pads carrying three exfoliating acids - lactic acid, mandelic acid, and salicylic acid - in a botanical base of chamomile flower extract, licorice root extract, green tea (Camellia sinensis) leaf extract, witch hazel water, willow bark extract, and uva-ursi leaf extract.

Three acids doing three different jobs is the formulation logic. Lactic acid is an AHA that works on the skin's surface and holds water as a humectant. Mandelic acid is a larger AHA molecule that penetrates more slowly - which is precisely why it suits sensitive skin better than glycolic. Salicylic acid is a BHA and oil-soluble, so it reaches into pores where the water-soluble AHAs cannot. Licorice root and uva-ursi both appear in brightening formulations, and the chamomile, green tea, and witch hazel round the base with soothing botanicals.

Pads are a format advantage - dose control and no measuring, which matters with acids. Sweep one pad across clean, dry skin and follow with moisturizer. Introduce gradually and use sunscreen daily, as exfoliating acids increase sun sensitivity.
