Botox & Dysport in NYC | Midtown Manhattan Injector | Dr. Cris Studio

At Dr. Cris Studio, Botox and Dysport are the treatments I perform most often, and the ones I think about most carefully. Every face is different. Every forehead has its own movement pattern, every brow its own architecture, and every patient has a specific result in mind, usually some version of "I want to look refreshed, not frozen." That is exactly what I aim for.

My practice is at 455 Madison Avenue, in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, and many of my patients come to me after trying somewhere else first. They come because they want precision, consistency, and an injector who will remember their face from one appointment to the next.

What Botox and Dysport Actually Do

Both are neuromodulators, meaning they temporarily relax the muscles responsible for expression lines. Botox is the original; Dysport is slightly faster to settle and spreads a little more, which makes it useful in certain areas. I choose between them based on the specific area we are treating and the result the patient wants, not out of habit.

The most common treatment areas in my practice are the forehead, the lines between the brows (the elevens), and the crow’s feet around the eyes. I also treat the lip lines, the chin, the neck, the jaw for clenching and slimming, and the brow for lifting. The art is knowing where to place precisely how much.

Who This Treatment Is For

My patients range from their late twenties, who come for prevention, to their sixties, who come for refinement. What they share is that they do not want to look “done.” They want to look like themselves, only more rested, more open, more proportionate. If that is what you are looking for, we are probably a good match.

I also work with patients who have had Botox elsewhere and were unhappy with the result, whether that meant brow drop, a frozen look, or results that faded too quickly. Understanding what went wrong and correcting the pattern over time is something I find genuinely rewarding.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your first visit begins with a consultation. I look at your face at rest and in motion, ask about your history with injectables if any, and talk through exactly what I am proposing and why. I do not rush this part. The injections themselves take about fifteen minutes. Most patients describe the sensation as a quick pinch. There is no downtime, and you can return to your day immediately.

Results appear within three to seven days and typically last three to four months. I recommend coming back before the treatment has fully worn off, so we can refine the result over time rather than starting from scratch each visit.

Questions Patients Ask Me

How much does Botox cost in NYC?

Pricing varies based on the number of units used and the areas treated. I price by unit, not by area, because I believe in using exactly what your face needs. You can read my full honest breakdown in my Botox cost guide, or we can discuss it at your consultation.

What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?

Both are neuromodulators with similar mechanisms, but Dysport has a slightly lower molecular weight, tends to settle a little faster, and spreads a little more, which makes it useful in certain areas. I choose based on the treatment area and the effect we are after. You can read a deeper comparison in my post on what I tell my patients about Botox vs. Dysport.

Will I look frozen?

Not if I have anything to say about it. The goal is always movement with refinement, not elimination of expression. I use conservative amounts on the first visit and add more at a two-week touch-up if needed. You can always add; you cannot subtract.

How long do results last?

Most patients see results for three to four months. Metabolism, muscle strength, and consistency of treatment all play a role. Patients who come regularly over time often find their results lasting longer, because the muscle learns to rest.

Can I get Botox if I have never had it before?

Yes, and I especially enjoy working with first-time patients. I take more time on the consultation, explain everything I am doing and why, and err on the conservative side so we can calibrate together over your first few visits.
