Facial Balance & Liquid Face Lift NYC | Dr. Cris Studio

Facial Balance & Liquid Face Lift NYC

Most patients don’t come in asking for a specific product. They come in saying something feels off  their face looks tired, heavier, or less like themselves. What they’re describing is a shift in facial balance.

At Dr. Cris Studio, 455 Madison Avenue, Spa Level, Midtown Manhattan, facial balance is the framework behind every treatment plan I build. Before I recommend a single syringe, I assess the face as a whole  proportions, structure, volume distribution, and how each zone relates to the others. The goal is never one isolated result. It’s a face that looks harmonious, rested, and authentically yours.

What Is Facial Balance?

Facial balance refers to the relationship between the upper, mid, and lower thirds of the face  and between the left and right sides. When these zones are in proportion, the face reads as naturally attractive and well-rested regardless of age. When one zone loses volume, descends, or shifts, the entire face is affected.

A patient focused on their nasolabial folds may actually need cheek restoration. A patient bothered by their jawline may need the mid-face addressed first. A patient asking about under-eye hollows may have a volume deficit in the cheeks driving the problem. Treating symptoms in isolation produces partial results. Treating the face as a system produces lasting ones.

What Is a Liquid Face Lift?

A liquid face lift is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation protocol that uses a strategic combination of injectables  typically hyaluronic acid fillers, collagen biostimulators, and neuromodulators  to restore volume, reposition descended tissue, and refresh the overall appearance of the face without surgery or downtime.

At Dr. Cris Studio, my Liquid Face Lift & Facial Balance Protocol is a personalized, sequenced treatment plan built around your specific anatomy and goals. No scripts. No standard packages. Every plan is different because every face is different.

The Zones I Assess

Upper third (forehead, brows, temples): Temple hollowing is one of the most underappreciated signs of aging  it shifts the brow position and makes the face look skeletal. Neurotoxin in the forehead and brow area softens expression lines without flattening movement.

Mid-face (cheeks, under-eye, nose): The cheeks are the foundation of the face. When mid-face volume is lost, everything below it suffers. Cheek filler or Sculptra here creates a lifting vector that improves the nasolabial folds, under-eye area, and jowl line without touching those zones directly.

Lower face (jawline, chin, mouth, lips): Pre-jowl hollows, a softened mandibular border, and lip thinning are all addressable with filler and biostimulators. The lower face is treated last  after the mid-face foundation is restored.

Treatments Used in a Facial Balance Protocol

  • Hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm Voluma, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Defyne) for immediate volume and structure
  • Sculptra & Radiesse (collagen biostimulators) for long-lasting regenerative foundation  learn more about biostimulators
  • Botox & Dysport (neuromodulators) for expression line softening and brow positioning
  • PDO threads for tissue repositioning when laxity is the primary driver

What to Expect at a Facial Balance Consultation

I assess your face in full before recommending anything. I look at bone structure, fat pad distribution, skin quality, asymmetries, and how your face moves. I ask what bothers you and what you’ve tried. Then I build a sequenced plan  which treatments, in which order, at what intervals  tailored to your anatomy and your timeline.

Some patients leave with a single treatment. Some leave with a multi-session plan. The right answer depends entirely on where you are and where you want to go.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a liquid face lift include?
It varies by patient. My protocol typically combines cheek filler or biostimulators for mid-face restoration, neuromodulators for expression lines, and targeted filler for the lower face. The specific combination is determined at consultation.

How long does a liquid face lift last?
Results depend on the products used. HA fillers last 12–18 months; Sculptra and Radiesse last 2+ years; neuromodulators last 3–4 months. A maintenance plan is discussed at consultation.

Is there downtime?
Minimal. Mild swelling and possible bruising for 24–72 hours depending on the areas treated. Most patients return to normal activities the same day.

Can I do this in one session?
Sometimes. For patients with significant volume loss or multiple areas of concern, a sequenced approach across 2–3 sessions produces better results than treating everything at once.

How is this different from getting filler at a med spa?
The difference is planning. I treat the face as a system, in the right order, with the right products for your anatomy  not a menu-based approach.
